The DRS (Double Roller Slit) uncapper makes uncapping frames easy, simple and quick. Without using heat or any electric source, the roller uncapper uncaps approx. 20-40 frames in 5-10 minutes.
The rollers expand when the frame is pushed through to uncap honey. The frame can be pushed up and down, and also on a 45 degree angle to ensure all the cells are uncapped.
The slicing action also reduces wax waste. This minimises the straining process, as there is minimal wax amongst your honey. Ultimately, the bees are then able rebuild the comb quicker.
*Can be attached to an uncapping unit - sold seperately.
This can be used in 2 different ways: As an entrance closer or entrance reducer. It's very easy to use- simply slide out the entrance piece using the 2 tabs and flip around to the other way.
Made of stainless steel.
Only suitable for 10 frame hives.
This strainer fits perfectly in a 25L (35kg) bucket. The 3 pieces stack together to create a double layered straining process. The honey runs through the top large strainer to remove bulk cappings, and then through the finer stainless steel mesh underneath (approx. 1000 micron). It then flows out of the tapered funnel. Made from strong and durable plastic.
This is a one handed queen catcher. You will require a queen marking pen, which is sold separately.
Simply place over the queen and slide the lid closed. Then push up the plunger to hold the queen in position while marking.
Beekeepers need to know the floral resources around them, and the nutritional value of those resources to bees, to keep their bee colonies healthy. This publication focuses on the value of plants to nectarivores, and honey bees in particular. The result of over 30 years of research, it distills both scientific knowledge and the opinions of hundreds of beekeepers into a reference work that will be the cornerstone of floral understanding in apiculture for years to come.
This book features a hardcover with 680 colour pages.
240 Volt reduction to 12 volt DC (4 amp) wire embedder transformer. Used for embedding beeswax foundation onto the frame wire.
Corflute nucleus boxes are a simple and cost effective way to transport a new colony of bees, or catch a swarm. These are great if you're splitting your hive and are on-selling a nucleous hive to a new beekeeper.
Only available for 5 frame.
